It’s Time for Our Annual Members Pond Tour!
One of the highlights of every summer is almost here! The Colorado Water Garden Society’s annual Members-Only Pond Tour is your opportunity to visit fellow members’ beautiful water gardens, exchange ideas, gather inspiration, and enjoy the fellowship that makes our club so special.
The pond tour will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Please note that our stop at True Pump will conclude at 3:00 p.m., so be sure to visit that location before they close. Also, try to visit the further locations by 3pm to give you and the hosts time to get to the picnic
New This Year
This year we’re making a couple of changes to the tour.
Rather than providing printed driving directions between each stop, we will simply provide the addresses and let Google Maps or your preferred GPS app guide you from pond to pond. This gives everyone the flexibility to tour at their own pace and visit the ponds in whatever order works best for them.
We’ve also expanded the tour to include several members whose ponds are a little farther outside our usual touring area. Their water gardens are truly spectacular, and we feel it’s important to support all of our members, regardless of where they live. We think you’ll find the extra drive well worth the trip!
A complete list of tour locations is included at the end of this article.
End the Day with Friends
The tour will conclude at the beautiful home and pond of Carolyn Blakley located @ 2877 Blue Jay Way, Lafayette, CO 80026
Following the tour, please join us for our Members-Only Picnic from 5:00 p.m. until approximately 7:30 p.m.
The Colorado Water Garden Society will be providing:
Hamburgers
Hot dogs
Bratwurst
Snacks and picnic fixings
Please bring your own beverage of choice.
To help offset the cost of the picnic, we are asking for a suggested donation of $8.00 per person or $15.00 per couple.
Whether you’re looking for ideas for your next pond project, hoping to meet new members, or simply wanting to spend a relaxing day surrounded by beautiful water gardens, this annual tour is one of the best events of the year.
We look forward to seeing everyone for another wonderful day of ponds, plants, fish, waterfalls, and great company!
